This editing interface exists for two reasons.
1) Provide a simple method for editing text after exporting from Soundslides.
2) Soliciting a copy edit over the web.
If you'd just like to try it out, enter http://soundslides.com/examples/sample01/ as the project path.
How does the editor work?
Copy your Soundslides project's publish_to_web folder to your webserver.
Enter the URL to your project folder and your email address above.
The editor will then download your project's captions and provide you with a caption editing interface. It will also email you a link you can send to a copy editor.
When you're done with your edit, click save, and download a new soundslide.txt file to your computer. You can then copy that file to your webserver.
How long is the edit stored here?
The caption edit is active for 30 days, then deleted.
Is it free?
Yes. Though this is an experimental feature and may change in the future.
Use at your own risk.
